I’m not entirely sure that it’s my logic board, but when i took it into the apple store they said “that’s most likely what the problem is.” Basically, the unit will only charge for a period of time, then go to battery power. If you unplug the power cord from the wall, then plug it back in, it will begin charging again, but for only a short period of time – and less time than before. You can repeat this process ad nauseum, with the charge period shorter each time. It’s weird, i know.
I had the plug (where the magnetic cord attaches) replaced, as well as the cord, so that’s not the problem. Does this sound like a logic board issue to you?
Thanks,
Josh
If you’ve replaced the magsafe board already, then the problem likely is the logic board.
My Macbook Pro 17″ will not fully boot. I get no picture on the screen, no power on the keyboard and a faint light where you push to open it up. I dont know if its the logic board and don’t know if you have experience with sort of problem before.
That most likely is a Macbook pro logic board problem.
Spilled literally drops on my computer, thought it was fine but then tried to turn it on and nothing. absolutely nothing. most say its prob a logic board problem, does that sound likely?
It really depends. It could be the top case or any number of internal components. The logic board is a possibility, but with water damage, a professional diagnosis is the way to go.
Hi,
I have a mid 2010 MacBook, I actually am a Apple tech. I have spilled a glass of water on my Mac and i need to buy a new logic board, they are really expensive through Apple. Do you have any available?
We may have some, but it depends on your model. I’d recommend doing a part request on our site.

Shipping cost depends on the carrier you select. I could not estimate you shipping costs to get the logic board to us.
